Ingredients:
step by step recipe
To prepare Chicken Tikka, start by marinating 500g of boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces, in a mixture of 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon ground coriander, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, and salt to taste. Toss the chicken pieces until they are well coated and then cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld. Once marinated, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If grilling, thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece. Arrange the marinated chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper if using the oven. Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and slightly charred around the edges. If grilling, place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 8-10 minutes on each side until the chicken is cooked through and has grill marks. Once cooked, transfer the Chicken Tikka to a serving platter, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy the succulent and flavorful Chicken Tikka as a starter or main dish!
